Aanandalaya Prakalpa Assam Celebrates Universal Brotherhood Day

Aanandalaya Prakalpa Assam celebrated the Universal Brotherhood Day at the district and mandal levels. This special day commemorates Swami Vivekananda's historic speech at the World Parliament of Religion in Chicago in 1893.

A total of 617 participants from 19 places attended the event, including Aanandalaya Acharyas, Gram Samiti, Mandal Prabandhaks, Students, local youths, parents, and well-wishers.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Dharmanagar Branch Organizes Five-Day Residential Aanandalaya Acharya Shibir

From 1st to 6th September 2024, the Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Dharmanagar branch successfully organised a five-day residential Aanandalaya Acharya Shibir at Netaji Choymoni, Dharmanagar district of Tripura. The camp was attended by 26 participants and 11 organizing members from various parts of Tripura and Silchar.

The camp began with an inauguration session, where Shri Sadan Das Ji, Barak Vibhag Vyavasta Pramukh, and Shri Bibhas Nandi Ji, Nagar Pramukh, Dharmanagar, shared their inspiring insights with the participants. The intellectual sessions were conducted on topics such as "Our Ideal Swami Vivekananda," "Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra," "Indian Culture,” and “Aanandalaya.” Group Discussion and Presentation Topics are such as “Our responsibility towards society,” “Needs of the Organisation,” “Challenges and Responses,” and “ Aanandalaya.”

The Naipunya sessions were focused on topics like "Samparaka," "Baithaks," and "Utsav's." The creativity session included activity-based learning, such as introducing letters, making words, and word-in-word exercises.

The camp schedule was packed from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm, with activities including morning prayer, yoga practice, Gitapath, Shrama Sanskar, Abhyaas satra, Agya, Aanandalaya demo, Bhajan sandhya, and Prerna se Punaruthan.

On the final day of the camp, respected Mukulendu Das Ji, DSP of Dharmanagar, was present at the Samapan session and motivated the participants to take forward their learnings.

The Shibir was smoothly run by the Assam Aanandalaya team led by Binoti Sawra, Aanandalaya Prabandhika, Biki Munda, Karyalaya Prabandhak, Swapna Saikia, who worked on preparing the academic curriculum for Aanandalaya, and four karyakarta from Dibrugarh.

The primary objective of the Shibir was to prepare grassroots leaders as Aanandalaya Acharyas and empower them to run Aanandalaya in their localities. The camp aimed to instill in the participants a sense of responsibility towards society and equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to spread the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. The Shibir was a resounding success, with participants leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to serve their communities.
